I can't find a good photo of the inside of a caribou nostril. I bought the caribou reference albums from McKenzie and Joe Coombs but neither shows the inside of the nostril opening. The nostril opening on a caribou is so big I feel it needs to accurate. I know how the hair pattern is on the outside of the opening. Can someone direct me to a good photo or describe the shape and color of the septum. Is it the same color as a deer? Can I use a commercial elk septum?

You can't SEE the inside of a caribou's nostril. They don't have nose pads, it's all fuzz and if done properly, the fuzz covers it completely anyway.
