Hello........I was given an old mounted sheep head yesterday but I don't know what kind it is. I am a taxidermist, but not familiar with sheep species. This guy is all white. All the neck and brisket wool is about 4 inches long, and looks like a mop. The heads about the size of a corsican ram, but the horns are smaller and form a nice curl. I'm sure one of you guys out ther can help me identify it.
Thanks! and have a great day...........Al

a pacific islander would be the most common. It could be a Rambolae or even a Navajo. If you could email me a picture, I might be able to narrow it down. Also what does the muzzle look like? Romanesque or more sloping?
not a 4horn is it i got one that did not grow the 2 back horn's
or a cross breed barbarosa?
A Merino to me.
Did some research with the names you gave me. Looks like a Marino.
Thanks again.
