have a elk to mount with little experience on installing elk papilla, can any one give me an idea if this is very difficult, where i might find information? how about elzners mouth cup from research, good choice? also some insite on painting, i have polytranspar paints

There are several ways to produce the Papillae. Some are more costly than others, it is your choice. I have used Mohr's Artificial Papillae with great success. Just insert it after the animal is dry and finish the edges with Apoxie Sculpt. You can also recreat with a hot glue gun. Just get some Wire(like used on the wings of a Bird) touch the hot glue to it and then touch it to the desired place in the mouth. Pull the wire away and cut the string. After you finish that, smooth everything with your apoxie till you get the desired look. As far as painting just get some reference and try to recreat. Remember that they are not black inside the mouth. They have color. Good Luck
