Just started my second deer mount on a full sneak, head up whitetail.
(First full sneak, head up deer.)Using a tube cut I pulled the hide on the manikin and was going to start sewing and realized there was a HUGE wrinkle behind and underneath both ears. Is that normal and how do you take care of or avoid it?

first off are your ear butts big enough? that {extra} skin is pretty normal also. keep trying to work the skin down the back of the form. maybe the bottom of the neck isnt stretched enough. keep working the skin down i like to add some hide paste to that area after i get my ears set to help stop the drumming. there are some good ear pics in the Breakthrough refrence archives
Look at the ceiling and feel the back of your neck. I'll bet there is a wrinkle there, too. You will need to work it out the best the you can, without distorting everything else in the process. Wrinkles in the skin is just sonmething you will have to deal with anytime you do any extreme turns. Sometimes it can be a benefit when you have a large hole to deal with.
