Ear Magic

I was wondering how dry the ear has to be before application on ear magic. The ear cartlige is ususually damp and the ear skin is to. Going to try ear magic on my next deer. Any helpful hints will be appreciated

Ruff the cartlidge up with a wire wheel.

Drench the ear in lacquer thinner, to remove the oils and its ready.

Careful with that lacquer thinner

Make SURE the thinner is evaporated COMPLETELY if you use it. It can weaken the epoxy and cause big problems later. Ear Magic will harden quite well even if the ear is damp (with water, not lacquer thinner).
