drilling antlers?

I just spent "SEVERAL" hours drilling out moose antlers and skull cap for detachable pegs....what type of drill bits do y'all use?

A one inch drill?

I used a standard one inch drill and drill right through the skull and into the antler before I cut it off at the burr. Takes only 2 minutes with a good 1/2 inch drill.

Shoulda said one inch drill BIT and 1/2 inch drill.
