tanning v.s. dry preservitve

I'm staring to do commercial work . should i be tanning or can i stick with just dry preservitve. and does one last longger? sorry if this is a stupid question . I never tanned a cape it sounds like it takes alot of time .

politics and religion. There are probably several hundred posts in the archeives. I used dp years ago, but tan most everything now. It is not difficult to do and good to learn if you are serious about taxidermy. Use the search button, there is a lot of info in there.

If you thought it was a stupid question, why didn't you click that "SEARCH" icon to the left and type it in there. Try it now and see if you can look at all those responses to that exact same question in a single day.

I fully believe in tanning,because I have a taxidermist not to far from me that does all his mounts in dry preserve.they look good at first,but after while the facial features distort,so then his customers bring the mount to me.I shouldn't complain,but its such a waste of money for the customer.
