the bucket says good for only a year
i was thinking of putting a capful of lysol in to retard mold growth
any other ideas
i thiugh of freezing
and right there on the side it was
do not freeze
there has got to be something to stetch the shelf life
even if just a few months

I did not know that it was only good for a year. I have had mine way longer than that and it is still working fine. I keep mine in my shop at a regular temperature and no problems.

If you are using the 5 gallon bucket (unless using quickly), find a 1 gallon bucket, scoop into the smaller bucket so you won't be opening and closing and letting air in the large one. Now, level what's in the 5 gallon bucket and put a piece of saran wrap against and completely covering the PASTE...this will keep it from drying out. I forgot to rotate the inventory once and found the half used bucket almost two years later (when I realized it was already open) and it was just fine. Of course put the plastic lid back on tight also.

You can put the plastic wrap on the small bucket as well between usage and you won't have any premature drying also.
