I have just fleshed out a boar and split the eyes, nose , ears, and lips. I put the cape out flat and salted, shook off old salt after 24 hrs. and resalted, my question is, is it ok to do this for 4 to 5 days?

Todd, If I understand your question, you wonder if it's ok to leave the cape salted now for 4-5 days. I keep capes in dry salted condition for several months with no problems. With greasy skins like hogs I try to tan within a month or so but it should keep for much longer. Remember to rub that salt INTO the skin not just pour it on. Enjoy, Aaron H.
