I just got in a Texas Dall sheep. Thiught I'd try one. What do you have to do to the horns?

After you cape out the animal , you next need to remove the horns from the cores. I drill a few holes with a tiny drill bit below the hair line and score with a knife anround the butt of the horn. Then you can make some maggot soup, place horns in a container of water and place in the sun, Check it occaisionally horns should pop in a week or so maybe sooner with the warmer weather. After a week if they havent popped you will have the change around 3/4 of the water.
ps dont do this near the house you will regret it. have fun with your soup lol.
Thanx for the info Paul. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. Job for the day? Maggot soup. LOL!
