Burnt Umber cross reference?

Submitted by Laura on 07/02/2004 at 16:21. ( mrsgonzalves@yahoo.com ) 68.123.37.168

I use hydromist products for our painting, and I am looking for burnt umber in this product. I am unable to find it. Does anyone know a cross reference to the color burnt ubmer in the hydromist product?

Thanks in advance for any advise.

Try going to an art store and purchase a tube of the Winsor Newton water color. I know they have burnt umber.

Thanks, Coyote, but I need it in Hydromist. I can get burnt umber in a lot of different brands, but I really prefer to use that one.

I appreciate your suggestion though!

...Man, I've been having trouble lately getting my posts to ship. Processes forever and then bombs half the time...

Anyways, how about "Burn't Sienna" Hydromist? It's very close to "Mars Red", but a bit more brownish than red...

How about...

is a totally different spectrum.(Red) It is a good color to have in your itinerary for deer and fish. Tie in brown comes in hyro-mist and is a very good match. This product is available from none other than WASCO! Happy Trails

You're right 14U...

I had to find a color match of "burn't umber" on the internet to see what it looks like. And it is indeed very close to Sexton's Tie-in Brown. It's more of a Walnut color than the color I was thinking of...

Thanks everyone!

Thank you all for your responses!

I agree that Tie-in Brown looks like a pretty close match in the catalog. When I ordered, I asked the woman if it was a match, and she didn't know. I figured this would be a good place to ask!

Thanks again!
