I see a lot of African animals with tons of wrinkles (Eland surely DO have lots of them), but Ken told me that most of them are formed by taxidermists in a hurry. He showed me that if you mount an animal with a good waterbased paste, you should let it set overnight or a day or two. Then he took a small wallpaper roller and rolled the hide. The wrinkles disappeared as the paste softened the hide and it became more pliable. I tried it on kudu and impala with great results.
unless you've been to Africa , you would never know.African animals
right after drinking " water " very few wrinkles as the day goes on and the heat of the day so do the wrinkles.
But make it look natural.
I am only talking from experience
