John, You can easily make a new skull plate to enable you to mount the horns to a mannikin. Finding a natural plate to fit your horns is a hit or miss effort anyway. I've made a sheep plate by setting the horns into sand in the position that I wanted the bases to be. Then use some all threaded rod and plenty of wire to run down into horns and across between. Mix up some bondo and pour in each side and onto the reenforcement wire. After getting this pretty sturdy add a piece or two of plywood and more bondo till it is quite sturdy. Position on mannikin for the final bondo pour leveling the horns before it kicks. Attatch the new plate to form with 4 long screws. Note:To reduce overall weight you can stuff paper into horn tips to limit how deep the bondo can run.
Now, if you aren't sure what position the horns need to be, don't guess. Look at reference photos to determine the width between the bases. You can adjust the spread to your liking (within reason) as horn shape varies.
If you would like some measurements, I have a couple sets of horns I could measure for you, email me. Enjoy, Aaron H.
thanks for your in put
John
