Probably for Chad, since you are located near the hunt zone. My wife and I both drew for the once-in-a-lifetime Oryx hunt on White Sands in February 05. How do I estimate the length of a trophy set of horns? In studying the oryx pics, I am guessing that the horns must be more than 2x (3x would be nice)the length of the head... figuring the head at ~16". Because this is a onetime deal, I would like to insure that we don't take just any oryx.

look at the ears ,they are about 6" long look through your scope and add that lenght 1 on top of the other and this will give you a very close measurement.
