Skinning Proghorn

Submitted by Bruce on 9/28/04 at 12:06 PM. ( )

I have checked the archives without any success. When skinning a pronghorn what do you do around the horns. I would guess you cut the skin around the base of the horn but because the horn is a continuation of the skin I'm not sure where to cut? Thanks for any help.

There is a definition line on the horns where hair stops being hair and starts being horn. I use a scalpel and push the guard hairs back before I start separating the two.
