Turning ears

Every animal is an individual and some will have ears that split easy and with others it will be a fight to split them. Rule of thumb is that you are always prepared for the worst and go slow and easy on the ears. I mount quite a few blackbuck and find their ears in general quite easy to turn. I do have busted them out on occasion as well though. Make sure you go slow and take your time. Don't rush it. Get a feel for the thickness of the ears and how easy or how hard it is to seperate the two sides of it. Also make sure you turn them all the way to the tip which in itself is a bit harder and more tidious. Good luck.

Thanks !
