Glueing together elk form

I read several posts through the search on glueing together elk shoulder forms that were cut in half. Several didn't like to us bondo and I can see their reasoning. My question is, have any of you experienced these large elk forms coming apart when they were bondo'ed together?

I have used bondo on many a mount--never had a problem. Be sure and
punch holes in both sides with a screwdriver and mist the sides to wipe off the loose dust first. If it makes you feel better you can
drive a few 12 inch rods from different angle before the bondo sets up. I don't get my bondo real hot either(use minimum hardner).
Good luck

Just make sure you drive some good large gauge wire into the form or us some long lag screws that will go through both halves. I've been doing it this way for 22 years.
