I have a tanned bear cape that has been froozen I took it out and went to mount it but it did not fit on the form well. I rolled it back up and put it in the freezer. Is it save to do this with a tanned cape?. I have done it with a green cape with bad results.

You can freeze and thaw a tanned skin a good number of times before you will have any problems. Usually they involve drying and nothing else, keep it damp. Provided that the skin is properly tanned!
