Epo-Grip

Anyone use a two part hide glue that spreads with a "caulk like" consistency?
Currently use Epo-Grip but it's a bit thick for my taste. I cut it with a shot of Hidemaster and I get a really smooth creamy Epoxy. I can cut half the lenghth off a chip brush and use it to paint the stuff on nicely and it stays put.
Looking for other options.

Had you bothered to call Steve, he'd have told you that you can buy #30 Liquid to thin your hide paste down to a thinner consistency. Or you could add xylol, MEK, or even lacquer thinner to thin epoxy though xylol is probably your best bet. 1-800-888-2467. He'll address all your problems.

Since winter time is approaching temperatures are now getting colder.

If you have your epoxy materials stored where they are below about 70 degrees F they will stiffen up. We run into this problem each season where shops are not well heated during the off hours. It takes a while for the materials to re-heat to room temperature where the materials work best about 70-75 degrees F. Warm your materials up if you keep a cool shop or if they have been stored in a cold/cool area they will work better.
