They all have bottom incisors.
I have come across one before. A very few whitetail deer do have canine teeth. It's rare but it happens.
I have come across them a few times doing skulls here in northern Wi. I don't know if they are more common here than other places.
I just caped out a 140 class Texas Hill Country buck today with a nice set of "buglers".
Had three in one year from South Texas - kinda cool.
Anybody deal in Whitetail ivory jewelry? lol
seen it before on acouple deer. i read an article about it, said its rare but not uncommon. its because whitetails are ancestors of some kinda chinese water deer, they have big tusk type teeth. well, thats what the article said.
customer called me on the phone and said he killed a six legged deer!
asked me how preserve it but had already cut the legs off of the deer.
the hind legs had extra legs growing out at the heal or ankle joint- and was actually walking on them. what would you suggest to him?
