Does anyone have a paint schedule for either the Merino or Ramboullet sheep? Can anyone help me?

Hi
We do alot of these there is 60 million sheep in New Zealand. I presume your talking about the white ones we also have black and brown in New Zealand.
This is what I do.
always use nutral appoxy around eyes and in nose etc.
You really need to degreese the epidermist first with thinners or actetone on a cloth, the lanolin in the wool makes for a hard to paint surface, also you don want to get any paint on the wool it will not brush out like it does on hair, so use a old towel or rags to protect the areas you are not painting.
As always good live referance helps.
I use hydromist paints
Natural flesh deep inside nose.
Buck skin tan inside the nose and ears.
The bass belly white. this is oversprayed all of the above, when you apply semi-gloss the underneath colors are pulled though.
Some individuals have brown around the eyes oddly this is a burnt senna, often this is best hand painted after above is done- use referance. I hope this helps

good luck

Thanks...

Thank you for your response. It is greatly appreciated. I am refering to the white wool variety. I have two for friends that I mounted but can't find "GOOD" reference material for the painting process. Any reference anywhere you could recommend?

the best referance is often the photos you take yourself

Hi
Sheep are so common here I can just walk down the road and photograph one. I know they are very coming in petting zoos or the farm yard section of most zoos can you visit you local zoo with a telephoto lens and get some shots, you will have them eating out of you hand literally! Google is my first stop when I have something hard to find.
If you have no luck there add another post
