In a nut shell, they basically said it is cheaper to buy one than to build one. Considering, time, material, money, and the hassle....Look in the WASCO catalogue.
Word!

Depends on if you have any of the materials on hand.

I built my tumbler for $70.00. I bought the plastic drum from a place for $17.00. My dad welded me a frame out of 1x1 square steel tubing. I went to TSC and bought pillow block bearings and a belt. I got a gear reducer from my work salvage and got it to turn about 12 rpm. And I already had the motor. So if the resources are there you can build it and save a bunch of money.

Sorry to have to disagree Laurier but the tumbler speed depends on what you are tumbling. The 12 RPM of mine is for is birds. 30 RPM is fast for bird skins.
