Take a look at Matuska Supply Com. out of SPirit Lake, Iowa.
I am going to do all my ordering from them the prices are anywhere from 5 to 8 dollars cheaper than any place I have seen.

prices on forms

Jim, Years ago I ordered most of the deer forms I used from a certain company because they were a few dollars less than others. I rarely ever use those forms today because I learned that they lacked symetry in the face area that caused my mounts to look a bit "off". I started correcting the snouts on the forms and realized that I was spending time to save the extra $5. Now I order the forms that I think are most accurate and require less correction. All I'm saying is price is certainly a consideration but it is not the only thing. Enjoy, Aaron H.

dont sacrifice price for quality

if your going to put your mounts together with the cheapest cut rate stuff you can find out there, your headed down the wrong road, you can get free eyes cheap eyes and good eyes. anything from free to 15.00 dollars guess witch ones look real and lifelike? Same goes with the forms. start your foundation by using good quality supplies and reference, and you will be on your way to creating good quality art work, good luck

Does this sound familiar?

I can't believe I am hearing taxidermists talk about finding the cheapest forms to use. When we hear about a customer checking prices just to find the cheapest taxidermist, we freak out.
Try this.........use only the best forms on the market, based on your knowledge of anatomy, and if that form is $5 higher.....uh......then add $5 to your price for the mount.
This ain't "rocket science" for cryin' out loud!

bad forms=bad mouth...

This response submitted by Drew on 12/18/04 at 3:39 PM. ( ) 140.226.180.248

Problem is even the "good" companies put out some crap now and then. I bought an elk from McKenzie that was not symetrical and most people worship that company for some reason. I buy forms from different places depending on who I think makes the best form for that species. McKenzie makes good whitetail forms, but their mulie forms and elk forms don't appeal to me.

Research makes great elk, but there whitetails are not to my liking. You get the idea...

bad mount...LOL

meant bad MOUNT, but you get bad mouthed with bad forms so I guess it would work, hahaa.
