I am working on an elk antler burr for a belt buckle. I have sanded the back for the buckle back attachment and have sanded the inside with very fine sand paper. I want to get it smoother and so it will shine. How do I do this. Buff? jewelers'polish. What type of tools etc do I need to accomplish this.
Thank you.

You need to start with the coarser grit and work to the fine with a good buffing wheel.

How can I get a buckle back attachment for my rosette

Dear Sir,I have a palmated royal elk antler that is in good condition, and I want to make a buckle. I can't find the buckle back attachment that is to be screwed into the back of the rosette that will hook the leather hole. Also, is there a page that can tell me how to inlay an arrowhead into the front side of the buckle. Thirdly, should the rosette be treated with any type of preserveative such as Neatsfoot Oil, etc.
