Have a person who raises buffalo for meat. He's willing to give me a cape from a bull they're going to butcher in a couple weeks. I heard that this is not the right time of year to get a cape because their hair will come out (shedding I guess?). Does anyone have any information on this?

I have done a couple I don't claim to be an expert but it is basicly still the middle of winter and no where near to the point of shedding and if he is going to give it to you what will you loose if it does slip?
