Hey, I just finished a longhorn mount for this guy, its my 2nd one, and I charged a pretty penny, I didnt really want to because hes a friend of the family, but I had a lot of hours wrapped up in it. When he came to pick it up (and for a nice prime rib dinner) he asked if there was anything he could put on it to keep the hair from falling out in 40 years. I kind of laughed and told him that I was'nt sure. It was commercially tanned and I think the tanner did an exceptional job. I was going to check in some of my magazines to see if there was some sort of spray product that would keep it looking nice and protect it from any bugs. If anyone has any suggestions, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks in advanced, Branden

He should be so lucky as to live 40 more years

If it was tanned properly, he keeps it out from over the stove or fireplace, keeps it out of direct sunlight, bug proofs it at least once every other year, and keeps the kids from running their fingers against the grain of the hair, it will last longer than he will.

Try

Mount Shield for yearly bug proofing. Good to hear you charged accordingly even if it was a friend of the family.
