HELP WITH BROKEN ANTLER

I AM MOUNTING A WHITETAIL WITH A VARY BIG 8-POINT RACK.THE LAST 4-INCHES OF THE MAIN BEAM GOT SHOT OFF BY A 12GA.SLUG.WHAT SHOULD I USE TO REBUILD AND COLOR I WANT IT TO LOOK GOOD.THANKS KIM

Wire and epoxy sculpt

You can drill a few small holes into the broken end of the beam , use wires to reform the shape of the missing piece ( use the good end as reference ) , use apoxy sculpt to rough in the antler , sand to shape . stain or paint to blend color . If you have the broken piece , you can pin it back on and use the apoxy sculpt to smooth over the repair . http://www.whitetailsystems.com/AntlerRepair.html
