anyone using krowtan for deer heads ,bobcat etc.
never never tryed it but am intersred in a easy inhouse tan

I'm the resident smartass here, but it's obvious you don't know about that little orange SEARCH icon there in the left margin. If you type in "krowtann" there, you'll find more than you've asked for.
Worked out great for me, But I only mount a couple heads a year. I wish I had a fleshing machine to have thinned more. There drying now So I'll see what happens in a couple weeks.
normally I pickle and liqua-tan, but I did try the krowtann out on 2 capes this year. Seemed to be pretty good, hair was tight easy to sew and work with. I did notice more shrinkage than I normally get, around the eyes and lip areas.
I use it on all my deer heads. No problems ever reported and all customers are very happy. I have used it on small animals and even saked a Armadillo in it and the skin looked good.

Here in florida also, Just rub it over your entire body and lay in the sun for 4 hours that ussually gives you a nice tan.
Good enough to make you look like an arab or Mexican so go for it,LOL
i used it a couple of times and it worked great , so i decided that i was going to use it exclusively, and now i am having problems with the hair slipping. it is peeling a thin layer of skin off on the hair side that is pulling baseball size clumps of hair with it . i dont know what i am doing wrong because it worked before.
