Was looking ove a tibet yak I did over 22 years ago . He still looks good but his nose is now cracked . I can fix the cracks easily but what are a few suggestions for texture . He used to yank a plow on my grandmas farm for us and named Jack of all things . Bradlee

Texture the nose pad with Mod Podge using a small artists brush or a syringe. Follow the natural sections of the pad making "bumps" with the Mod Podge. After it dries, spray the pad with Krylon clear gloss to finish and seal.

Use Satin

Use a satin final coat instead of gloss.......Yaks Powder their noses like proper folks....Best use an Acrylic polymer varnish in satin or semi gloss. Mod Podge is just a thickened Acrylic polymer varnish.......You can make it by leaving the top off a jar of Acrylic Varnish to allow evaporation of some of the aquaeous vehicle.
