Boar degreasing question.(Epo-Grip)

Submitted by Dan on 2/24/05 at 1:54 PM. ( )

I have searched the archives and have not been able to find what I was looking for, which I must say is a first.

When degreasing a boar with Epo-Grip degreaser should I do it before or after I pickle the skin. If it is to be done after the pickle do I do it before or after I neutralize it.

I also want to say thank you to all who take the time to answer questions on here. It is a great service to guys like myself who are still learning. Since finding this site I now have the confidence to be more than just a deer and turkey taxidermist. With the help of the archives any question that I have is usually answered. Thank you!

Dan, Degrease the hide before you put it in the pickle. Use 4oz of Epo-Grip degreaser per gallon of water. Additional information about this is in the video VHS 269 from WASCO for $19.95 1 800 334 8012
