What do most of you old bucks use to pin down the front and neck of your shoulder mounts for drying? Is panty hose as good as anything? Do most of you pin as well or do you just let the hide paste do the job ?

A pantyhose will only drum just like the skin would without good adhesive underneath. Then I'm working with especially short haired game, I often card and pin but that has to be checked constantly so you don't form dimples.
I use an ace bandage. this allows me to get it tight and also allows me to check it every day without having to worry about pinning anything. Hope this helps
I use a generous portion of Buckeye or aother good hide paste, work things in good and the next day pin the hair tight and flat to the form with panty hose. I just put a few pins in the face and the brisket. Is this enough, I've never seem to have had any drumming problems. Thanks again for the help gang.
Ive used screen from windows or whatever and folded them up and tack that into low spots so it will not drum and so far it has worked for me.
