How to preserve a cow skull and horns?

I'm about to butcher my 4 year old longhorn bull. He has a pretty nice set of horns and I want to preserve his head and horns to hang on my barn. How do I preserve the skull and horns? A previous steer skull I just left out for the bugs to take care of had the horns peel and come apart.

The little red button on the left it says "search" click on it and type in "preserving and Bleaching cow skulls."

I appreciate you pinting me to the toolbar - it didn't show my first visit tot he site but once I got it loaded - I be stylin' ;o)
