little help with busted ears

Submitted by kid on 4/7/05 at 7:29 AM. ( )

got a kudu head with rough ears. they are peeled, cracked, and one looks like it was laid down on. the inside of the ears is cardboard. ok, my question. what do u guys use for such a situation? i want to fill in the cracks(already glued down what hide i could find flapping), and since there is several spots on the ears where the hide is missing, i am gonna fill them in with...? after all this is done, i am gonna use a flat paint to match the color of the hide. after working on the antlers, its impossible to tell that they ever was damaged. any help will be appreciated. thanks guys!

sew what you can
if you did not mount it yet
also use some ear magic
its wonderfull stuff you can leave what you could not sew
and trim when it gells up
im not the gut to ask if you already mounted it though
maybe one of the expert could help you a little more
God knows im not one of them
