Do I need to buy an artificial skull plate in order to attach the detachable pins to? Or is there another process that can be used?
Any help would be great.

I'd suggest the skullplate from Research as it's fiberglass. The ones cast don't seem strong enough to my liking. I'd even fill the fiberglass one with more resin and chop just so I knew those pins wouldn't wear loose.
