I can't figure it out, I keep on getting hair slippage! I'm salting lots, resalting, picklingas per directions with oxilic acid. Shaving the hide down and using liqua tan. still keep getting hair slipping on bears especially, Can anyone give me ideas as to why this is happening and what I can do? I purchased stop slip and applied to areas with the problems but it does not seem to do anything! Help please! Thank you in advance!

if you are following directions, and keeping the ph right, you have probally had bad hides. no matter how well you do everything, if you start with a bad hide you will get bad results.
Are you possibly shaving the hide too thin? It is easily done on bears!
I finally bought some and I think it works great. Apply as your skinning and watch how good it works.
What I'm reading here is that all is well but your not degreasing. If you have fat left on the hide the liqua-tan may find it hard to get through it.
Also what is your Ph during the pickling process?
Use it, it works and eliminates all that screwing around.
