Hi.
I am looking for a post i came across a while ago while looking for something else.
Now that i want that advice, i cant find it.

It was a post on what to do with spanish goat horns that had discolored during the boil. ( I have 1 set out of 4 that discolored in same pot for same time).
It mentioned something about standing the horns in acetone but i cant recall how long for and exact method.
Does anyone know about this method or where i might find the post.
So far i've tried , goat, spanish goat, goat horn, discolored horn, grease on horn, soak horn, acetone on horn, ect ect.

I've tried the wrap in plastic method now and will be doing it that way from now on! Worked a treat on some horns i thought were never going to come off.

The natural horn color is light brown and the stain (about 3 inches up horn) is almost black. So i thought about darkening the whole horn.
I had a brief go on the very back of the horn with some sand paper and it looks like it might produce aceptable results.
