How do I clean/polish/restore ram horns?

I recently purchased some ram horns with skull on ebay. I would like to restore them as much as possible. What should I do? They look like they are pealing a bit, fairly old. Is there anything I can do?

put any oil of any kind on HORNS, antlers its OK but not horns, oil will ruin the horns and darken them forever. Old horns like you described should be cleaned and then the damage repaired with a sculpting putty and then hand painted lightly with water based paints and then lightly airbrused and then sealed with a light coat of mat finish spray. Take it to a pro.

it will work

get a bucket of bleach water let the horns set in the bucket for about 10 minutes then scrub the horns and it should be as good as new
