Was hoping for some advice... I have a 5 x 5 Moose shoulder mount that I would like to hang on my stone fireplace. The taxidermist said to make sure the mounting device could withstand 80 lbs. I have been told to go through the grout and use a heavy duty tap-con type of fastener. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

would be to keep it away from the fire place, other wise you will be taking it back to your taxidermist for cleaning and repairs quite often. But if you must, Use a "3/8" or 1/2" lead concrete anchor" you will also need a "lag bolt" to fit in the anchor. I have used these in concrete with good results for years. Joe
It's a gas fireplace, but I do get your drift. I am hoping by having it a good 3 feet above the top of the mantle it hopefully will be enough. Really appreciate your help.
