Polishing up Cow Horns

After sanding down cattle bull/cow horns to a smooth finish, what product do I use to rub on the horns to get/retain that deep, dark look/quality?

Comes in various grades as required for various surfaces. Use the grade recommended for plastics.

After sanding use 0000 steel wool then rub the horn down with rubbing alchohal to get any remaining grain to stand up then use the steel wool again to get a satin smooth finish, then apply the jewelers rouge.

After all that sanding did you try a buffer pad (attached to/on your bench grinder) for polishing up a sheen on those horns? Pop does and it looks great.-Susan
