A cape (salted) that was three years old stored in Africa just returned from a reputable tannery and the cape is perfect except for the ears are ripping along the edges and falling apart and catrilage cannot be removed (it breaks) This was a wet tan. Any suggestions on repairing this ear damage? It is a flawless cape otherwise and is for a pedestal mount (customer choice). Should I put new ears on or what? Try platstic earliners and blend with appoxie? Bondo/fiberglass any help anyone?
