Is Stop Rot this good?

UPS sent 10 frozen, fleshed but untanned capes on a wayward journey that will last 5 days. They were supposed to arrive overnight. The capes were frozen solid to start out, so I would say they will be unthawed for at least 3 days. They are wrapped and sealed in extremely tight plastic. If I throw them right in the freezer and get some Stop Rot what do you think my chances are?

you should

have stop rot on hand anyway for everything. Buy it because you need it anyway, you will need it on hand when anything from smelly green raw capes show up, or you have freezer burn. Don't buy it because you fear you might have a meeting with slip. Have it on hand, be prepared always. About the capes and you're chances, in this hot weather, not good to ride around in a hot truck that many days. You may want to dip them in a 5 gallon bucket of Stop Rot as soon as they arrive, then again, things that make us worry and fret, are things that haven't happened yet.

Thanks Mr T

Your words of encouragement were needed. I am fretting mainly because they were not insured. I spent the extra shipping on the overnight. I will just hope for the best. At least I'll have some Stop Rot.

next time

if you can, buy them in the coldest time of the year in winter. I don't even salt this time of year. I salt everything I get in the fall, in Jan, Feb, or any week end when it is 25-35 degrees out side.

Be sure

to file a claim with UPS if your capes are ruined. I usually have good luck using UPS, but would never hesitate to file if needed.
