velvet with soft tips

Got in a fallow deer in velvet with very soft tips. What is the best way to cure this?

Freeze dry it

Tried all the others. Theys suck when compared to freeze drying. Try my new friend Joe Kulis. He does them all the time.

formeldahyde is the best, will last , will preserve better, freeze drying will only remove moister., but George will not agree.

.....To shrink up, use Laurier's method. If you want them looking like real velvet antlers, find someone to freeze dry them!

They should be soaked in alcohol and a borax soultion alternatly befor they are freeze dried. Freeze drying alone will not keep the bugs from getting to them.
