I'm new to taxidermy and just wondering which mule deer form (shoulder) you guys prefer and why?

Which one do you like?

Anything past that is personal opinion and would serve no purpose in your making a selection. I'm sure both forms have their followings and nothing we say can change that. You should pick the one that's most appealing to you and then YOU'LL have your own opinion.

Both a good forms. I know the Lancasters are really popular. They just give a different look, but whatever looks "right" to you is what counts.

For example, Research sells both Lancaster and Frazier elk forms. They look noting alike in the photos, but they both look good mounted, just different. I love the Frazier elk forms, they are older and basic but they have an awesome face and easy to mount on.

I use Research forms only &

Have mounted alot of both guys forms.
You will find that Frazier has more availible forms in the smaller deer. We mount alot of Forked horns & 3 points & most of the time they have less than an 18 " neck & that is the smallest that lancaster made.
Also my customers like the extended leg on the forms that Frazier has.
Plus there are alot of new poses such as off set shoulders, 45 & 90 degree turns & now we have less altering to do if someone requests extreem turns.
I agree with George that it is personal preference & I let my customers decide , most of them will pick the one of Fraziers.

Take care

Thanks guys! and thanks Ken for the site!

I'll try a Frazier this time and a Lancaster next time. This is a great site and I thank Ken for building it. Also appreciate the free speach and assorted forums. Steve

I like Bill's newer forms head and shoulders (pun intended) above Fraziers. Just another opinion.
