and how do you like it. It would seem much easier to use than scraping or sanding the crusty skin off the form. What good does the blood veins and other fine details do if you're just going to sand them off? Forgive my ignorance, but I'm just wondering why not use the varnish finisher and preserve all the details? Steve

Steve I sandblast my forms its fast and does the best job. I can do 4 whitetails in 15 min. brent
I use it all the time. I wipe the form down with laquer thinner first . Then spray it. Let it set at least 12 hours, 24 or more is better. I will do a weeks worth of forms at a time.
When you use it, no matter what hide paste you use, that paste will never hold any tighter than the spray glue in the mannikin prep. You'll be money ahead and sleep better at night if you scratch, rough, sand, ot sandblast your form rather than using spray glue or mannikin prep on it. That old red shellac that started this craze worked well on PAPER forms where it bonded to the paper. With foam forms, nothing other than more foam bonds to the form unless you give the glue purchase or "tooth" in the form itself.
I used Mannikin Prep for a long time, and really liked it. I still sanded the facial detail, as I usually changed things there anyway. Where I really enjoyed the stuff was on large life sized mounts. Made the skin slide more, in conjunction with the hide paste.
....I've got the form the way I want it the surface is mostly rough anyway. The facial veins, if you actually want them there, are better done other ways than the way they come on a form. They're always the first thing to go. It only takes a few(5-10) minutes to prep a form surface anyway. I tried the stuff once and never found any advantage to it.
Long time...no see..
