I was lucky enough to get me a decent pronghorn this morning. My question is about the cape or hide. It looked like it was sheding. It looked like it had kind of a soft down like hair mixed in with the normal outer guard hair. I assume that a brush will pull the fuzz out but my question is will it leave me with a mountable cape or will it look like crape?

If you just killed recently. Pronghorn was shedding. Hide is very slippy anyway. Salt real good ,send to tannery or tan as soon as possible Hope this helps. TEC
