Last Friday evening I shot my first wild boar, we took him to be processed and the cape and head were frozen Saturday. We moved him to the fridge on Sunday evening. He stayed frozen till Tuesday. I started to skin and flesh him out after work Wednesday and did not get to turning before it got late, so we placed the hide back in the Fridge. I will not get a chance to finish him up tonight. Is waiting to finish and salt the hide till Friday going to cause any slipping or other issues? I'm fairly new to taxidermy, so sorry if this is a basic question, I looked in the archives and really could find anything. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

when in doubt always place the hide back in the freezer. Boars are not as prone to hairloss as deer and other game would be, so I think your boar is going to be ok. If you can't get to finish up the fleshing by this evening however, I would suggest you put the cape back in the freezer until you have plenty of time to finish it up.
Thank you for the advise. I'll stick' em in the freezer tonight then. I new there was going to a good deal of fat on him, but I still managed to under estimate it, I think that is what got me behind schedule. Thank you again you the help :)
Would help matters too, considering how you're pushing your luck with this hog. Hogs outer dermis will often slip before hair falls out. What this does is it gives you an airbrush chore that you might not have had to begin with. Painting the underbelly of a hog to look natural can be a challenge.
