I have a customer that wants his clients european moose mounts pegged for shipping. The moose have spurs growing down over the pedicel so the cut would have to be lower. And because its a European, not just the antler cap I can't drill from the back into the antler before cutting. I think that the cut will show, and the whole job is going to be very difficult, but thought I would check to see if someone knew an "easier way"
Thanks a bunch.

Faced with what you describe, I'd cut away the brain stem area of the skull and predrill that antler through the skull. Then I'd take a Roto-Zip and cut the antler off under the pedical with a plunge cut and a sweeping motion. Once it's free, then you're back to where the antler cap idea fits in. If the cutaway on the brainstem shows, then Apoxie it and install your hanger system as usual.
