Buggling Elk

I have a customer that wants his elk to literally bugle. I was wondering if anyone has had this same request. I have no idea where i am going to fix a device that is going to bugle. He was hoping for something remote control or maybe motion detected. Second of all where did you install the "bugler". I know i can do this it is just a matter of me finding the Sound box for it... Any suggestions ? Thanks Ya'll

I was going to take a tape (CD player in todays world) and install it in the chest and run some pvc pipe or vacume hose up through the neck were the throught would be. This should give a realistic sound. I never did it but that was the plan at the time. Let us know if it works John

Perhaps an ipod with a recording of a bugling elk. You could play it with a remote. They are pretty compact and push out some good volume, might a be little spendy, but who knows you could start a new trend.

I did one two weeks ago, the player was $129.00 with transformer. ext. speakers was $19.95 , it is a pair with a small amplifer, I use vacuum hose and a Y so both speakers sound into two hoses and then into one to the back of the throat. You can find tons of bugeling tapes, just record them onto the mp3 player, you can have a sequence of over five minutes of bugeling and snorts. Then even at the end put in porky pigs "tttthats all folks" The vac hose is from Home Depot and I used a remote light switch.

I did a full Body elk for an outfitter. He used it at his booth at outdoors shows. Here is what I did
Bought a bad ass Billy bass and removed the light censer and player. Which utilizes a single serving CD. I then copied a CD of elk bugles and inserted it into the player. Placed The censer in one of the nostrils and ran a wire down the leg to the base where I had the player. I then ran a speaker wire up to behind the mouth where I installed a speaker in the form. then Mounted the elk as usual. Now when someone walks in front of the elk it bugles.
