Removeable antelers on a 90 degree elk?

To all you guys that do alot of elk, I have a 330 set of elk antlers going to do bugling on a 90 degree form. Would it be necessary to make both or one of the antlers removeable to get through door ways? Or since it is a 90 degree would the stamdard antler mounting procedures work for door clearance on a 90 degree form. Thanks for your advice guys.

Joe, is that the only reason you're doing it?

I'm amazed at the number of people who think and elk or a moose won't go through a standard 36 inch door. If you try to do it straight on, of course it won't work, but did you ever seek these guys running through lodgepole pines? They turn their heads SIDEWAYS. Push comes to shove, I carry them with the nose up and put one antler through the door and turn the head as I walk through allowing the other antler to trail me out the door. I remove antlers for weight purposes and balance issues during hanging.

i didn't have a problem

and got it through a 30" door. mine is a 290-300 but I can't see 30" making a differance.Just stick that shoulder in first and rotate it and do like George said. The biggest problem I had was getting the hanger right and probably should have used two, but with one it had to be placed far over on the antler side of the of the form.
