Flowers-Death & Taxidermy

I got a call from a floritst today. A funeral home that he deals with gets requests from the family's of hunters who have passed, for an outdoor /hunting theme. Keep in mind that this needs to be easy to set up and take down, as well as, easy to create should the family want to keep any mounted items. Here are my thoughts...

Nothing is more personal (at least to me) than my old hunting boots. Throw in some spent shotgun shells, a new duck call(as mine will be handed down to my son)a broken arrow and work that into a floral arrangment.

A woodduck jumping out of cattails.

What are your ideas?

A florist friend of my wife and I has done a few hunting themed funeral arrangements. Wreaths of turkey feathers and pine cones. Antlers, boots, pheasant feathers, etc. Very tastefull, and very well received by all in attendance.

I recently had a customer ask me to quickly mount his buddies last duck(blue wing teal) to have it ready in time for his funeral.

This is not hunting, but a fishing theme.

My cousin died unexpectedly and was an avid fisherman. His casket was an oak fish theme and his wife had the flowers on the casket. In the flowers were attached fishing crankbaits. They had one of his custom made fishing poles leaned on the casket. as well as a few other fishin items around the funeral home.

I already have mine planned

I am an avid shed hunter. I have already planned when they put me in the ground that everyone is to throw a shed into the grave just like they do with flowers. I will be holding my favorite shed in my hand.
